'Mythbusters' Tackles Titanic Myth, Premieres Sunday

In between deep-sea diving stints and writing Avatar 2, James Cameron manages to stay ever relevent.  This time he's teaming up with Mythbusters Adam and Jamie to deal with a 'Titanic' of a myth.  Mythbusters premieres Sunday, Oct. 7 at 8/7c on Discovery.

For their season premiere, Mythbusters experts Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage teamed up with one of Hollywood's biggest directors, James Cameron, to address the show's most requested query: Could Titanic's Jack [Leonardo DiCaprio] and Rose [Kate Winslet] have both fit on the wooden piece of debris and survived together at the end of the movie?

In the exclusive clip below, watch Jamie channel his inner Rose and hit the water firsthand to test the film's accuracy. Using a replica wooden board cut to size — with a few adjustments for buoyancy — the guys start the clock on verifying or debunking this blockbuster myth.
