Mad Men's John Slattery to Join Arrested Development Reboot

(Via Rolling Stone)

Mad Men star John Slattery has signed on to appear in the much-anticipated Arrested Development reboot, TVLine reports. A representative for the show declined to say what Slattery's role will be, though it looks like he will appear in multiple episodes when the cult comedy returns to Netflix next year for a 10-episode run. Slattery plays the smooth-talking, hard-drinking ad executive Roger Sterling on Mad Men.

The entire original Arrested Development cast recently reunited to begin work on the show's fourth season, which will arrive all at once sometime in 2013. With each episode focusing on one member of the Bluth family, the new season is expected to help transition to the long-rumored Arrested Development film.

Show creator Mitchell Hurwitz also indicated that he's willing to make more episodes if the next season does well.

Recently, producer and series narrator Ron Howard spoke about the new season, saying it's in "great form." He added: "It's been away for a while, and part of the fun that Mitch has been mining and exploiting is, what's new to discover about these people? What's delightfully unchanged? He and the writing staff and the actors have a fantastic sense of that. They're pretty brazen, pretty bold and fearless. That's what made the show into something that fans really kept alive."
