"It's Always Sunny" Renewed, Heads to FX Sister Network

Worst bar in Philly... also most hilarious bar in PhillyThe doors to Paddy's Pub will stay open for at least another two years.  FX today greenlit its flagship series, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, for a 10th season, effectively keeping it on the air through 2014.   Sunny will also be one of three programs heading over to FX's new comedy focused channel, FXX.

(Via Cinema Blend)
Announced today, the network FXX will be "slightly more comedy focused" than FX, according to the network's general manager John Landgraf, but more importantly will be zeroing in on viewers between 18 and 34. Anchoring the channel will be It's Always Sunny and The League.

In addition to loads of original programming, FXX will also show reruns of RJ heavyhitters Arrested Development and Parks and Recreation.

FXX will launch into 74 million homes on September 2nd.  A date for It's Always Sunny season 9 has not been released.

Be sure and head over to the RJ store for all of your Paddy's Pub gear!

"American Horror Story" Season 3 Details Revealed

Thank you random jukebox from season 2, episode 10.  Thanks to you we now know some pretty juicy details about the next installment of American Horror Story. Details were confirmed via Palleyfest's AHS panel Friday night.

(Via Huffington Post)

...[Showrunner Ryan] Murphy told viewers there was a hint about the upcoming season in the "American Horror Story: Asylum" episode, titled "The Name Game." When a jukebox in the rec room played the 1950s classic "I Put A Spell On You," many audience members bet (correctly) on bewitching.

Witches... lots of witches! And on the bayou! Ok, so it didn't actually spill any details for the next season but it did give us a couple months worth of (correct) predictions.

The new season will be titled "American Horror Story: Coven," series' co-creator Ryan Murphy revealed at the show's PaleyFest Panel on Friday, which also included Oscar-winner Kathy Bates...

Adding more Oscar winners is never a bad thing.  A cajun culture veteran, Kathy Bates most notably played 'Mama' Boucher in the 1998 classic "The Waterboy."  Later in the panel Ryan Murphy hinted at a possible vampire companion show. This was confirmed (by me) as being equally as awesome as AHS.

No word on when AHS:Coven will be released or even begin filming for that matter.

In the meantime you can find a bunch of American Horror Story: Asylum tees over at the RJ store.

"The Big Bang Theory" is Season's #1 Entertainment Program

Do we really need any more reminders of "The Big Bang Theory's monolithic success? Meh, not really... But here's one anyway.

(Via Press Release)

"The Big Bang Theory ranks as the season's #1 entertainment program in adults 18-34, averaging a 4.6/16, according to Nielsen most current ratings for the 2012-2013 television season."

A huge accomplishment, no doubt.  Unfortunately we've been desensitized to "The Big Bang Theory's" success.  TBBT is popular, we get it.  Where's the zinger that will take us to the next level?!?

"This marks the first time CBS has the leading entertainment program among adults 18-34 since the beginning of people meters in 1987.  Season-to-date, The Big Bang Theory is also the top entertainment program in adults 18-49 (6.3/19) and adults 25-54 (8.0/21) as well as television's top comedy in viewers and #2 scripted program (18.95m) overall."

There it is.

Check the gang at Palleyfest, discussing the unexpected success of the show, above.

Don't forget, there are LOADS of The Big Bang Theory tees available for immediate shipment over at the RJ store.  Check it!

Ben Stiller Reprises "Arrested Development" Role

A couple weeks old but still worth noting that Ben Stiller will reprise his role as the BEST RECURRING GUEST STAR ON ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT EVER.  Ah, that felt good.  And if you disagree, well you're wrong.

(Via Entertainment Weekly)

The film star will reprise his role as Tony Wonder, rival magician to GOB (Will Arnett), in one episode during the new season of the cult comedy, which Netflix will stream in May.Exactly how he fits into the plot is being kept under wraps. But it may not be a bad idea to check the dumbwaiter.

Tony Wonder is known for making the cover of 'Poof Magazinge' and (painfully) pulling foods out of his skin.  He makes appearances in both season 2 and 3.  It seems like we'll be treated to at least one guest per episode seeing as how every other star in Hollywood has signed on to the show.  Netflix will release all 10 episodes of Arrested Development in May.

Gear up for the monumental release with some officially licensed Arrested Development tees, available for immediate shipment.

"Dragonball Z" Joins KFC for Japanese Promotion

In case you've ever wondered about the popularity of DBZ in Japan, look no further than the picture below.  Yes - that is Colonel sanders dressed in full Goku attire.

(Via Kotaku)

In Japan, KFC is teaming up with the new Dragon Ball Z anime film, offering DBZ goodies when you order special meal deals. But that's not all.

Japanese KFCs usually have Colonel Sanders statues out front. And now, at seven locations across Japan, the Colonel is dressed as Dragon Ball character Goku and holding one of the seven starred Dragon Balls.

As if that's not ridiculous enough, check this one.

Oh ya, the film will also be released in Japanese IMAX theaters later this month.  No word on an American release, although the cast is set to participate in a panel at Anime Expo 2013.  Possibly around that time? Regardless, I'm stoked

Make sure you holler at some Dragonball Z tees over at the RJ Store.
