the IFC cable channel said on Wednesday that it had picked up two further seasons of "Portlandia," its popular sketch comedy series with Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein about life in a city that is similar but not identical to Portland, Ore., where alternative culture still thrives and where, as one character put it, “young people go to retire.”

Portlandia was created by ex-SNL heavy hitter, Fred Armisen, among others.  The next two season of Portlandia will consist of 10 episodes a piece.  They will be shown in early 2014 and 2015.

CBS’s The Big Bang Theory — the most-watched comedy both on network TV and on cable— snagged three prizes, including the honors for Best Comedy Series, Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy (Simon Helberg), and Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy (Kaley Cuoco, who tied with The Middle‘s Eden Sher), making it the awards’ single-most celebrated series.

This comes after a CBS executive was recently quoted as saying "We're at the center of the universe" when refering to the fact that they've won the season outright among total viewers and adults 18-49.  Sure, that sounds cynical, but it's kind of the truth...

In terms of the movie, Broken Road Productions has optioned the rights to make a film based on Grumpy Cat's personality. In the film, Grumpy Cat will speak, sort of like the cat in the 2004 live action "Garfield" film.

She also has a book coming out!  Grumpy Cat: A Grumpy Book: Disgruntled Tips and Activities Designed to Put a Frown on Your Face, is set to release this coming September.  The book will features some fun activites and snarky putdowns along with her iconic meme photos.

As for being a movie star?  Her manager says she's less than stoked.  "She hates movies," he said.

Well, it wasn't ALL in one sitting, but it was pretty close.  I still can't get over the fact that a series can come back after a 7 year hiatus and dominate the airwaves. (Er, internet waves?)  Netflix CEO Reed Hastings even gave us something else to get excited for; more Arrested!

"Arrested is unique, because [whether or not it comes back is] really up to the talent," Hastings said during a CNBC interview on Wednesday. "If the talent were willing to do more, and interested in that, I'm sure we would be willing."

If we boycott the actors' future projects they'll HAVE to return, right? I'll start - Jason Bateman's a hack and no one should hire him!  I refuse to watch anything staring Jason Bateman!! ...Unless it's more Arrested.  Who's with me?

Anchorman 2 is on the horizon!  The last time we saw the Channel 4 news team was way back in 2004.  It makes me so happy to say we will soon be graced by the legend, Ron Burgandy, once again.

Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd and Steve Carrell will all reprise their roles for the new film, which also features a slew of cameos.  Anchorman: The Legend Continues premieres December 2013.

Over the season's first two weeks (June 20 and June 27),Wilfred will air back-to-back new episodes. The show will then take July 4 off to go to the park and pee on things, returning the following week with single episodes for the rest of the season. 

Wilfred is an oddly hilarious show chronicalling the relationship between a young man (Elijah Wood) and his neighbor's dog.  It is ridiculously funny, and should be watched by all.

Wilfred season 3 premieres June 20th at 10pm ET on FX.

“Chuck (Lorre, the show’s co-creator) and I have been talking about this for a long time, and we (could) never agree on the show,” Newhart said by phone recently.

“I am a big fan of The Big Bang Theory. I thought it was extremely well-written, and it’s done in front of a live audience — and those were the two requirements that I had.”

Another requirement of Newharts?  Appear in more than one episode - Awesome.

Actually, he had a third: He wanted to return for at least two more episodes — something he hopes will happen next season.

“It’s a little more important than a guest shot,” said the former Newhartstar, who has also appeared in NCIS and Desperate Housewives, and whose dramatic arc on ER scored an Emmy nomination.

 It seems we'll be seeing "Professor Proton" in the very near future.  The Big Bang Theory airs Thursdays, 8pm on CBS.  The season 6 finale airs on May 16th.

The documentary of one of the internet's most awesome cats has won the famed "best film" award New York's Tribeca film festival!

The Vice documentary Lil Bub & Friendz tells the story of the “permakitten” who became an Internet sensation and examines our obsession with other Internet-famous cats. Lil Bub isn’t like the rest of them. She’s a dwarf, so her limbs are disproportionately smaller than the rest of her body, and her underdeveloped lower jaw makes her tongue stick out permanently. Frankly, she couldn’t be more adorable, and as her owner put it, “she makes it OK to be different.”

Lil' Bub even hit the promotional circuit, filming a pretty hilarious 'interview' for the film.

Good job Lil' Bub!
